Just In TIME... New Collections Of SEIKO and PULSAR Watches

Seiko Solar Chronograph
SEIKO Solar collection. SEIKO Solar is a quartz watch which takes its energy from light, and stores it in a self-recharging battery which never needs to be changed.  All of the models have one important attribute in common, the purity of color of the dials. Thanks to Seikos solar technology the dials no longer have to be semi-transparent. As a result, the white dials are truly white, the black dials are truly black, and the blue are truly blue. Indeed, the only indicator that the collection is solar powered is the discreet ‘SOLAR’ name on the dial.

The appeal of this new generation of SEIKO Solar watches lies in the simple practicality of the new SEIKO Solar technology. The watches are powered by all kinds of light, not only sun light and they charge very quickly. In most SEIKO Solar calibres, just two minutes of sun light delivers one day of charge and the watch is fully charged after three hours, because no battery change is ever required, the watch is virtually maintenance free, better for the environment and more convenient for you.

SPORTURA. Style, durability, reliability and precision. SEIKO and Landon Donovan both know what it takes to succeed at the highest level. Our shared dedication to perfection is celebrated in the new Sportura chronograph, a watch in which every detail reveals the value of fifty years of experience in sports timing. Donovan is best known for his game-winning, last minute goal for the United States National Team against Algeria in the 2010 World Cup, making Donovan not only a star athlete but a national hero as well. Donovan will help SEIKO celebrate its 130th Anniversary by representing the powerful new Sportura Collection available this fall, which will surpass the desires of athletes and the expectations of watch aficionados worldwide.

The Premier & Coutura Collection. The SEIKO Premier collection combines classically refined inspiration with subtly modern expression. Premier has established itself as SEIKO's leading dress watch collection. Coutura offers a diverse collection of men's and women's quartz, kinetic and diamond timepieces all with a common design theme featuring a prominent rounded-octagonal bezel, elegant lines and fine details that make a Seiko Coutura watch perfect for dress, or for the office. Coutura is perhaps the most popular Seiko collection.

Bill Selig Jewelers welcomes Naomi Jewelry to our Windsor store location.

Naomi Tussin has always appreciated the power of jewelry. Even as a child she knew it was the Pop-It® beads that made her overalls come alive.
Later, a degree in graphic design led to a rousing career in advertising where no meeting began without a spirited discussion on the accessories worn by client and agency that day. It was clear to her that jewelry still defined her, and in 2003 she designed her signature piece.
Handcrafted from the finest sterling silver with pearl, vermeil and gemstone accents, Naomi’s
richly textured work is tailored, arty and a treat to wear day, evening and, of course, to meetings.

About The Elisabeth Collection [Liz-It-Is and Babette]
Elisabeth Talbot was extraordinary. Elegant. Centered. Dynamic. And the inspiration for this collection. Handcrafted from the finest brushed sterling silver with lustrous freshwater pearls,
Liz-It-Is and the more petite style, Babette, are a wonderful fusion of textures and a treat to wear day and evening.
With each sale from the Elisabeth Collection, a donation is made in Liz’s memory to support the program that supported her — The Center for Integrative Medicine at Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut.

October Birthday Gemstones...Opal and Tourmaline

October has two birthstones, the Opal and Tourmaline.

The Opal derives its name from the Latin word "opalus," meaning precious jewel. Prized for its unique ability to refract and reflect specific wavelengths of light. Most of the world's Opal deposits are found in Southern Australia.  Other sources of this gemstone are Brazil, Mexico, Czechoslovakia and Nevada. Ancient monarchs treasured Opals, both for their beauty and for their presumed protective powers. A gift of Opal is symbolic of faithfulness and confidence.

Tourmaline, perhaps the most diverse gemstone available possesses a dazzling array of colors. Tourmaline is esteemed as a gem of enlightenment and resolution. The name tourmaline means multi-colored, a modest description of the variety that exists, which includes dark green chrome, deep blue to blue-green indicolite, pink to deep red rubellite and watermelon tourmaline. Color determines price, with lively, mid-colored gems. A gift of this stone is symbolic of hope.
